As the Home Study Supervisor, Jessica Ostrander supports adoptive families through the entire home study and post placement process. She works as a liaison between clients and many of our home study social workers as well as outside placement agencies and government entities that serve the adoption process. Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the George Washington University in 1992 and a Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1996. She began working in the field of Child Welfare with Washington, DC Child and Family Services in 1997. She started as a home study social worker contractor with Paths for Families in 2004 and began working full time for the organization in 2008. She’s also supported the Adoptions Together Program and Training departments for several years.
A parent to two adult daughters and two adult step-sons, Jessica currently lives with her husband Dave and two dogs in State College, Pennsylvania. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time at local college sporting events, hiking, and traveling.
