Exciting New Beginnings: Unveiling Paths for Families!

Today marks a momentous occasion as we unveil our brand-new identity – one that’s fueled by warmth, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our mission.

Adoptions Together and FamilyWorks Together are now…

Paths for Families.

This change represents not only a name, but a profound reflection of our journey and an enthusiastic embrace of what lies ahead.

For 33 years, we’ve woven human-centered care, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed expertise into the lives of more than 15,000 children and families across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We’re deeply proud of our impact.

As our services grew and adapted to changing care needs, we began to see our potential for even greater impact. A key part of this realization was the importance of having a clear brand name that truly represents all that we do:

Family growth and strengthening through education and counseling, infant adoption options, foster care adoption, family-finding, home studies and post-placements, professional and organizational training, and community outreach and support programming.

We thoughtfully embarked on what became an incredible multi-year process of research, reflection, and community feedback to actualize this next phase.

Collaborating with a strategic partner, we audited our brand messaging and visuals, held conversations with leaders and stakeholders, conducted internal and external surveys, evaluated market and industry trends, and so much more.

The result? A harmonious refinement of our mission and values, a fresh voice and tone, and a new visual aesthetic, all led by a single, unifying identity in Paths for Families.

Why Paths for Families?

It symbolizes our purpose. We provide paths for building and sustaining healthy families. Our vision is that every child will grow and thrive within a caring, supportive family and community: Every Child, Every Family, Every Step of the Way.

Adoptions Together is now the adoption program of Paths for Families. Its programs include infant adoption and placement, foster care adoption, home studies, and post-placements.

The FamilyWorks Together name will gracefully step aside as we embrace clarity across multiple brands. The services, however, continue to flourish within Paths for Families, and include family growth and strengthening through education and counseling, family finding, professional and organizational training, and community outreach and support programming.

With decades of knowledge and experience as our foundation, a clear vision propelling us forward, and a united team devoted to realizing this transformation, we stand ready – with your help – to introduce this new chapter seamlessly into our workflow.

Thank you for being with us on this journey.

FAQs

Why did you decide to rebrand?

As our services have grown and adapted to changing care needs, we began to see our potential for even greater impact. A key part of this realization was the importance of having a clear brand name that truly represents all that we do.

We thoughtfully embarked on what became an incredible multi-year process of research, reflection, and community feedback to actualize this next phase.

Why now?

This was the next step in ensuring our continued impact and growth as we support hundreds of children and families throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia each year.

Will your services change as a result?

No changes! Our services remain the same:

Family growth and strengthening through education and counseling, infant adoption and placement, foster care adoption, family finding, home studies and post-placements, professional and organizational training, and community outreach and support programming.

How will this affect existing clients?

Existing clients will experience no change in support or services. They will start to see the Paths for Family branding on all communications.

What does the new brand represent?

It symbolizes our purpose. We provide paths for building and sustaining healthy families. Our vision is that every child will grow and thrive within a caring, supportive family and community: Every Child, Every Family, Every Step of the Way.

Where did Adoptions Together go?

Adoptions Together is now a program of Paths for Families. You can find information on our adoption services here.

Where did FamilyWorks Together go?

The FamilyWorks Together name will gracefully step aside as we embrace clarity across multiple brands. The services, however, remain and continue to flourish within Paths for Families.

Is the organization under the same leadership?

Yes. We anticipate no direct changes to staff or leadership as a result of the rebrand.

Will the organization's contact information change?

All of our email addresses will now end in @pathsforfamilies.org, however all of our previous emails will be forwarded to our new inboxes.

Our physical mailing addresses will not change.

Additionally, our social media pages will now reflect Paths for Families.
