Waiting Family for Foster Care Adoption, Venus & Michael

Hola! Mucho gusto! We are the Holcepl family (pronounced Hole-sa-pole) from Glenn Dale, MD. We are Venus and Michael, and are here with our three children; “N” (9), “C” (7), “C” (4), and our two cats, Merlin and Diana. We enjoy our time together; be it game and movie nights, family dinners, or traveling to visit family and new places.

Michael is a caring, devoted family man and husband. He is a talented Lead Engineer in the IT field. When he’s not working, Michael is an avid Cleveland Browns fan but does cheer for most of the Cleveland teams, since that’s where he grew up. He also enjoys fishing, camping, gardening, puzzles, and gaming.

Venus is a fun, compassionate wife and mother. She is a Healthcare Administrator for the local hospital. She enjoys baking, reading, traveling and chasing around and playing with our three rambunctious children. She also loves all things Texas, since that’s where she grew up.

“N” is an energetic, curious child who loves dinosaurs, playing video games, and building with lego and kinetic toys and is learning to swim. “C” is a sweet, shy child who enjoys painting, reading, dressing up, and playing with her dolls. She loves learning to sew and ice skating. “C” is a silly, mischievous girl who also enjoys drawing, painting and trying to read her books. “C” loves to dance and chase around her siblings and wants to always be around them. “N”, “C”, and “C” are excited about the addition in their lives and have embraced the idea of loving another sibling. On Sundays, the family attends church and incorporates a Christian upbringing for their family.

Each year we take family vacations to Texas, Georgia, Ohio, or California. One of our yearly traditions is taking a family camping trip and water park excursion at Bull Run National Park. Taking vacations gives us time to reconnect as a family and make new memories.

Our home, built in 1992, is nestled in a cul-de-sac on a 0.75 acre lot. As you enter our neighborhood, you encounter a lake, surrounded by walking trails, benches, a park, and tennis courts. Our community includes other young families and close-knit neighbors. We live five minutes away from the public elementary and high school and twenty minutes away from the bilingual school our children attend. Our home has five bedrooms, a play area, a finished basement, and a large front yard. Summer days are spent with the sprinkler and playing frisbee, while winter boasts snow angels, snowmen, and hot chocolate.

Our family is diverse with culture and traditions. Venus’s family background goes back to Central America, while Michael’s goes back to eastern Europe. This usually shows in our meals, as they can range from Pierogies and Sausage to Stewed Meat with Plantains. We look forward to embracing every opportunity you may bring for us to grow and will face it with patience, dedication, and a lot of love.

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We hope we are the family that can bring love and laughter to this child by providing a stable, happy, and comfortable home for them to thrive and grow. Thank you for your time, compassion, and dedication in advocating for our future child. We are grateful for the care and love you have shown them.
