2022 Angels in Adoption Honoree
As Adoptions Together enters its 33rd year of building and strengthening families in the DMV, we are honored to be selected as a 2022 Angels in Adoption Honoree. Angels in Adoption is a program of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) that honors individuals, families, and organizations making extraordinary contributions to adoption, foster care, permanency, and child welfare. We are proud to be part of the largest congressional child welfare event in the United States and honored to have been nominated by Senator Van Hollen! A few members of our team including Janice Goldwater, our Founder & CEO, have spent the past two days in Washington, D.C. meeting with federal policymakers, receiving advocacy and educational training, and connecting with fellow advocates.
Since 1990, Adoptions Together has helped to settle and sustain more than 15,000 families and children in birth, kinship, guardianship, and adoptive families and has provided ongoing support to the entire community through our counseling and educational programs. Creating and sustaining family connections is at the core of what we do.
