Inquire about this child

A child on the Heart Gallery, Prynceton

Born in 2012 Video Gamer

Prynceton is a bright, curious, and energetic teenage biracial boy of Hispanic and African American heritage who brings a spark of creativity and warmth wherever he goes. He has a natural curiosity about the world and loves to ask questions. Whether he’s building imaginative worlds in Minecraft or playing games on his Nintendo Switch, Prynceton is happiest when he’s engaged and using his hands to create.

Those who know Prynceton describe him as affectionate, inquisitive, friendly, and full of energy. He thrives on positive attention and enjoys connecting with others. He has a playful spirit and a big heart, and he’s learning every day how to express his emotions in healthy, constructive ways.

Prynceton is making great strides in therapy and has shown impressive growth in managing his emotions and behaviors. He’s learning to use coping skills, reflect on his feelings, and communicate more effectively. While he still benefits from prompts and support, his progress is a testament to his resilience and determination. His therapist is actively involved and ready to support his future family with tools and strategies that work best for him.

In school, Prynceton benefits from a structured and supportive environment. He has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and does best with one-on-one support from trained professionals who understand his unique learning style and emotional needs. With the right educational setting and encouragement, Prynceton can thrive academically and socially.

Prynceton has also made significant progress in overcoming past challenges, including a history of putting non-edible objects in his mouth when upset. Thanks to therapy, he now has the tools to express his feelings and make safer choices. His journey is a powerful example of how understanding, patience, and the right support can lead to meaningful change.

He has diabetes and wears glasses (though he sometimes forgets to put them on!), and he’s learning to take more responsibility for his health with guidance and encouragement.

Prynceton dreams of having a forever family that will love him unconditionally, provide structure, and understand him through a trauma-informed lens. He needs caregivers who are patient, nurturing, and consistent, and who can offer firm boundaries without being punitive. He may be guarded at first, but with time, trust, and love, Prynceton blossoms. He has a special bond with a former caregiver and hopes his forever family will support that ongoing relationship, which brings him comfort and stability.
