Looking for Adoptions Together or FamilyWorks Together? New name, same us. Here’s why!

Prince George’s County Schools Program

Paths for Families is teaming up with Prince George’s County Public Schools to provide trauma-informed training for high school staff as well as specialized counseling for youth living with foster, guardianship, or adoptive families. Registration will be opening soon!

Teachers create vital learning environments where students can thrive. For students who have experienced trauma, safety is the foundation for building trust and academic success.

Trainings consist of 3, 3-hour training sessions:

  • Location: On-site or virtual trainings
  • Eligibility: Prince George’s County High School Staff Members
  • Capacity: 40 participants per training per school
  • CEUs: CEUs will be awarded for Social Workers. More information to come for CEUs for teachers and other school professionals.
  • Optional: Coaching sessions are available to support the implementation of new information.

To express your interest in the training program or learn more, contact Melanie Geddings-Hayes.

Stay tuned for more information to come about the counseling program!
