Foster Care Adoption Training

9 AM-3 PM Online

Foster Care Adoption Training is a requirement in the foster care adoption process which helps adoptive parents understand the unique joys and challenges of adopting from foster care. Our foster care adoption program facilitates the placement of children of all ages who are growing up in the public foster care system throughout the country.

Foster Care Adoption Training | 30 hours

In this training, families prepare to parent children with emotional challenges through a specialized curriculum designed by NTDC for parents who are considering adopting a school-aged child. This training is focused on developing awareness in the prospective parent while teaching effective parenting strategies.

Our 30-hour training meets over the course of 5 weeks. See upcoming training dates below.

2024 Dates:

  • Fall Session – November 9, 16, 23; December 7, 14

2025 Dates: 

  • Winter Session: January 18, 25; February 1, 8, 15
