Foster Care Adoption Training is a requirement in the foster care adoption process which helps adoptive parents understand the unique joys and challenges of adopting from foster care. Our foster care adoption program facilitates the placement of children of all ages who are growing up in the public foster care system throughout the country.

The program deposit is due at the time you enter the placement program. The placement fee is due at the time a child is placed with you. All fees are based on a sliding scale according to your gross annual income. If you are self-employed, the sliding scale is based on your net worth. These fees are in addition to the fees for home study and training.

When we work with families who are adopting from foster care, our job is to ensure they understand the complexities of adoption and how adoption from foster care works. We are often asked if children adopted from foster care can be “returned” to their biological families after an adoption takes place. The short answer is: No. Adoption is a legally binding process, and adoptive parents are the legal parents of their children once an adoption is finalized.
